The era of new Top-Level Domains (nTLDs) began in late 2013 with more than 1,200 specialized domain extensions being released since, and new options continuing to launch every year.
The Domain Name Launch Schedule below provides a consolidated view of historically released, currently scheduled, and upcoming TLDs approved for release at Webnames. Wherever possible, we include key lifecycle dates to help you plan registrations and brand protection strategies.
For each domain extension, we aim to provide accurate timing for:
- Sunrise Period – This first phase is reserved for trademark holders with marks validated through the Trademark Clearinghouse (TMCH)
- Limited Registration Period (also known as Landrush) – This second, priority-access phase follows registration of validated trademarks can feature premium prices and other criteria.
- General Availability (also known as Go Live) – This final phase is when the domain opens for first-come, first-serve registration to the public.
While we make every effort to keep this information current and accurate, domain launch timelines are set by individual registries and may change. As such, we cannot guarantee that all domains will be offered for registration or that they will be available on the dates listed. If you have questions about any of the domain extensions or the information provided below, please contact our team for assistance.
